FUEL Student Ministries

General Info & Forms

Our Mission Statement: FUEL Student Ministries exists to form middle and high school students as disciples of Jesus Christ by achieving the following: Focus on God, Unite with other Christians, Explore life as a disciple, and Launch into serving the church and world.

FUEL Student Ministries is the youth program of Garber UMC. We partner with parents and the whole church to minister to middle and high school students. In Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus gave his disciples, and all Christians, a mission to "make disciples of all nations." A disciple is a person who follows Jesus Christ. A true disciple seeks to think and act like Jesus in all areas of life, regardless of the cost. We seek to make disciples in our youth program.

Garber UMC believes that Jesus Christ is Lord of Heaven and Earth; and that the Bible is the authoritative and divinely inspired Word of God, which we see Jesus affirm in the Gospels. So in our youth program, we teach from the Bible and engage students with questions that challenge them to think deeply about their faith and how to live out their faith in the world.

To be clear, 'FUEL' is the name of our youth group time for middle school students on Wednesdays and high school students on Sundays. But 'FUEL Student Ministries' is the name of our entire youth program, which has a number of weekly programs including FUEL, Lab, AMX, 180, Joy Bells and Bovotions. You can read more about these programs in the following pages, but the purpose of all of them is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by achieving what 'FUEL' stands for:

Focus on God,

Unite with Christians,

Explore life as a disciple, and

Launch into serving the church and world.

God invites all people to faith and new life in his Son, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us. Our youth programs provide a space for students to learn and grow in their faith with one another. All students are welcome, and we hope to see you there!
